Christian, The lion who thought he was People.

Last night I've slept quite late even though I didn't go fishing. It is because while I was blog hopping to Flanegan blog, I was attracted to one of the video clip that he put up there.

I've already know about the clip but still didn't have the time to watch it. Not until last night I finished watching the whole documentary about Christian, The lion.

Below is the clip that really capture my heart.

Christian's story. Full ending and original soundtrack to the film "Christian, The Lion at World's End". Directed by Bill Travers,Commentary by Virgina McKenna, founders of the Born Free Foundation.

In 1969 a young Australian, John Rendall and his friend Ace Bourke, bought a small lion cub from Harrods pet department, which was then legal. 'Christian' was kept in the basement of a furniture shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea, the heart of the swinging sixties. Loved by all, the affectionate cub ate in a local restaurant, played in a nearby graveyard, but was growing fast...

A chance encounter with Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna led to a new life for Christian. He came to live in a caravan at their Surrey home. Then in 1972 he was flown to Kenya, his ancestral home, and returned to the wild by lion-man George Adamson. Nine months later in 1974, John and Ace returned to Kora in Kenya. Christian had not been seen for nine months but appeared the day before them, seeming telepathically to know of their arrival.

It was an emotional reunion: "He ran towards us, threw himself onto us, knocked us over and hugged us, with his paws on our shoulders."

John Rendall

See http://www.bornfree.org.uk for more about this story.

Christian the Lion is distributed by Beckmann Visual Publishing

That is only the ending part of the video. I suggest you spend an a little bit more than 1 hour to watch the whole documentary. So to save your time, I put up the link, that were separated into ten parts.

Powered by Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ (And Mudah.com.my Sucks!)

I just upgraded my shop's processor from Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz and only cost me Rm170. I just hope that with the upgrade, all of the work involving the computer will be breeze and no more lagging complaint from me. No, I'm not trying to run cpm (Corporate Performance Management) here :P

Actually, i almost bought it from Mudah.com.my. Since the seller just want to contact me through email, I just ignore him. Even though he sell the processor cheaper that what i 've found around Karamunsing Complex, it is better than have to wait and gamble my money buying things from unknown person and from unreliable site (not like Ebay.com, we can complaint and get refund if someone are cheating).

My friend fall victim last week. Someone are selling N95 8GB only for Rm750 from Kelantan. But The item still did not arrived (or the seller never had the item!) and the seller didn't pickup the phone after that. There goes Rm750.

Bottom line is, Mudah.com.my SUCKS BIG TIME!!!

Ancient technologies?

I've been fascinated by this lecture by Jason Martell. The way he deliver his lecture really convince me that we human are actually a product from alien. Not only his lecture convince me but also few of the evidents that show that todays human are actually rediscovering the long lost technologies.

Just as the case of the Baghdad Batteries, that actually an evidents that human already discover electricity long time ago. And that is why their handcrafted jewelry are really beautiful as they know how to platted silver with gold. Plus, that ancient civilization already know about DNA.

I'm talking about Sumerian civilization that were know as the earliest civilization ever known. They do have lots of secrets that only known to them. Even they also recorded a great flood that coincidently same as what we read from the Bible but the civilization are far more older than the Bible.

Coincident or already known?

Two question here, are we really from outer space? Who is Annunaki?

I've gain weight again!

I know this is sound stupid but I'm fat again. I don't know why but sure enough I don't like it. Seems that I easily tired. And my waist are bigger now compare to last 2 weeks. Now my pants are fit around the waist.

I think the real culprit is the cake that they brought last 2 weeks. We only finished it after 3 day. Plus I was too greedy last week and eaten more that I should.

My face a bit rounder now. But not too much acne until I need to use Proactiv acne cream to battle them out.

Now I need to be on diet again. Maybe I should take lighter breakfast like I use to do before I realize that I am fat again. And skip lunch. My trick is, always eat something but not too much. And control those meat.

Anyway, here is a song that were sticking in my head from this morning until now.

Nothing rhyme by Gilbert O'Sullivan

If I give up the seat I've been saving
To some elderly lady or man
Am I being a good boy
Am I your pride and joy
Mother please if your pleased say I am

And if while in the course of my duty
I perform an unfortunate take
Would you punish me so, unbelievably so
Never again will I make that mistake

This feeling inside me could never deny me
The right to be wrong if I choose
And this pleasure I get
From say winning a bet
Is to lose

When I'm drinking my Bonaparte Shandy
Eating more than enough apple pies
Will I glance at my screen and see real human beings
Starve to death -
Right in front of my eyes

Nothing old, nothing new, nothing ventured
Nothing gained, nothing still-born or lost
Nothing further than proof nothing wilder than youth
Nothing older than time nothing sweeter than wine
Nothing physically, recklessly, hopelessly blind
Nothing I couldn't say
Nothing why 'cos today
Nothing rhymed

This song really touch me inside. Just read on the lyrics. Quite poetic but yet still touch the inner soul of me.

But if you are talking about destruction..... (Revolution)

I've been monitoring all the political things that happen recently and I can say all things that have been out form the "perintah" mouth is all bullsh*t. Even the debate also bullsh*t (plus tons of FOAMS!).

"Strawbeery cheat" really lost the debate. He doesn't even know what he is talking about that night. Mumbling all through the night. Now I wonder where is he now. Maybe his boss (on the fourth floor) give him a holiday to Europe for a month.

The way they arrest DSAI also comical. I can sense that they are really scare, that their balls are rattling underneath their pants. Only if you are guilty, you can do some stupid things.

I just respect DSAI and RPK. They are the man. Also PI Bala.

Anyway, this songs are dedicated to all gomen. Revolution!

Stupid government!

Limited access on PayPal

Recently, my PayPal account has been put on 'Limited Access' mode. It's started last week when I was trying to access my account but I was chosen randomly for their security test.

The things is, I registered my account (for the verifying purpose) with a credit card which is issued by my boss (supplementary card) for business purpose only, which is under my name plus my signature on it. So if I were not outstation, I don't have access to the card. Or simply said I have to surrender the card back to my boss.

And that faithful day, I was asked to enter the card number. I immediately called my boss (he already acknowledge that I use the card for the verification purpose) to get the card number. As usual, he keeps the card at home and only can give me the number once he is home. So I just logout from my PayPal account.

After 3 day, I get this "Limited Access" warning from them because they sense that someone was trying to get into my account. They ask me to do only three things. First, change the password and secondly, change the secret question which did on the spot. Luckily, the third one is quite easy for me since they only ask me to submit any utility bill that have my name and my address on it. And I did this only after two days after I change my password and secret question.

And today, my access was fully restored.

Now I registered my Public Bank debit card and delete my company credit card just in case they did ask me the number again. (Oh, the story about the Debit card is another one!)

I wonder if anybody ever encounters this problem but have to verify using other method. If so, please tell me. I just putting this post for anybody who ever encounter this and want to know how others tackle it.

Well at least they don't suspect me as a mortgage lenders. Hehhe...

A very good investment

I'm not going to say that I just invest in something and got a good return. It is because I just find out that after the fuel hike, my family never regret doing it at the first place.

Remember my post about me and my father are in a mission to transplant our Proton Iswara engine from standard engine to Mitsubishi 1.6 (4G61T) engine?

Some people when they knew about my father idea to change the engine, they just shrugged their shoulder and said bigger engine, high fuel consumption. And he almost buy they word. Not only that, they said spending Rm10'000 plus for the transplant are wasting money since the engine is a gas guzzler engine.

But no, I just proof that last night the engine is far more efficient than standard Proton engine.

RM90 for 400KM! That is about Rm0.23 per kilometer!

That is far more gas saving than my current Daihatsu (Mira) 660 Turbo engine. Rm50 for 220KM (But we ever achieved RM50 for 300KM!). Now I can be sure that we won't hurt our wallet so much and that means we can afford to buy best diet pills to slim down our waist (I just kidding on that part :P ).

The real reason why it was so efficient is because the engine (both of the engine) have EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) in the system and that's why it is so efficient. No wonder old Kelisa still got higher price in secondhand car market. But then, our behavior while driving also have important role in saving gas. No pedal to the metal, no braking too hard and don't accelerate too fast.

I want to upload the picture of the odometer to proof my claim but I can only spare a few moment to update. So no picture lah hehehe....

I just find out that...

my shop are very dirty. While i was sitting there this evening, I felt itchy and non stop scratching my skin and suddenly my eyes caught a glimpse of the floor. It was full of dirt!

Now I understand why my staff got this skin infection. They just missed the important thing. THEY MUST VACUUM THE FLOOR!

Luckily I just bought a vacuum. Not Sebo vacuums but at least it is powerful enough as Sebo's. If this Sebo vacuums is available here in Sabah, I might get not only one, but two. One for the shop and one for my room.

Hey, my room needs vacuums too!

Open Office by Java

This is the latest solution for those who cannot afford Microsoft Office that has expensive price tag especially for those who want to use them (Microsoft Office) at their office.

In the case of Microsoft Office, you need to purchase license that can cost you around RM1000+ per license and that only for ONE computer. Imagine if you have 6 computer. If you were caught using their software without license, you can be fined RM10,000 per computer!

Now you can save all with this Open Office by Java. In fact, I've used it for my shop. I've saved around Rm900+ (this price is for Microsoft Office 2003 that I surveyed at computer shops around Kota Kinabalu) just for that.

Why OpenOffice? First of all, it is FREE! Secondly, they are easy to use. If you are familiar with Microsoft Office, you can straight away use OpenOffice. It is such a great software that you can report bugs, request new features, or enhance the software. And that means, they (OpenOffice.org) does everything you want your office software to do, the way you want it to.

So far, I don't have any problem with this software. It doesn't sucks too much of computer memory that can leads to computer crash (that is really troublesome for us who are too lazy to SAVE every one paragraph we complete).

Here is the screen shot of OpenOffice

I don't want to explain much here but you can always check their website at Openoffice.org

For those who does not want to read further, download them here!

Last time, mushroom. Now, telecomunication.

I still remember almost one year ago, I was bragging about doing mushroom business. But now that one has to wait. Now, it is official that both of us (not only me) are into communication business.

It is started when my wife found out that someone want to sell the business (meaning taking over) and the price are just right at the moment that is just about Rm8000 ( USD 2,464.95).

Actually, I'm not really interested with the business since both of us were once in a business but failed. But when my wife told me that that business has been running for about more than 5 years at the exactly spot, I ask her to close the deal.

Soon, Joyanne Enterprise was established. I can't say that it is easy to get start. First, we have to get license for the shop, then getting dealership from the local communication company. But first and foremost, lots of money is involved in this matter.

I proudly have to say that today; we just get our dealership from one of the local telecommunication that I can say the strictest and the slowest in approving dealership. We have to wait and be patient since that particular company is the most popular service provider and the demand for their reload coupon and e-load are the most highest among the other.

I just got a new friend, that I can call him my technician. And he is so happy because I just bought him new toys. A toy that he never uses but understands the function even he never touches it. This tool that can generate money. One that can fix mobile phone software problem. Introducing.... JAF ('<'that is the name. I don't know what it stands for)

This thing cost a bombs. Exactly RM500! (Approx USD154.06) . And to install this thing required me to surf the internet for about 4 hour. Another 1 day just to figure out what this things needs and how to install driver for that 'thumb drive' thingie (called P-Key). And finally successfully installing it after a format and fresh installation of Win XP.

Now I can rest my mind and start focusing on running the business. So wish me luck.

Blogging Via My Shop Computer

I just realize that I've not updated my blog since 1st July. Been busy lately and didn't get enough sleep just to repair all my customers computer. And I finally can solved a laptop problem without wasting lots of time. This time it is not about "ram"- Random Access Memory - but it is about the hard disk. This is an outdated ThinkPad laptop that doesn't have any drivers included.

Thanks to Windows XP, the installation runs smoothly and walla, it just take one hour to be solved. The main problem is because the old ancient hard disk got hardware failure and keeps telling me "Unmountable Boot Sector". Problem solved by changing the hard disk for a brand new one.

Oh, not only that one, I've repaired around 4 computer within this week :P

So if you want to repair your computer, you can always count on me. This only applicable to folks around Kota Kinabalu only lah. Definitely not free! Price range around Rm50-80 and not included the hardware that need to be change.

Cheers...

A car has been stolen and yet the government still fookup!

My wife colleague car has been stolen at Menggatal yesterday afternoon. A police report has been made yesterday as soon as she realizes that her car has been stolen. The plate number is SAA3869A. The car has a yellow “Baby On Board” sticker on the rear window.

My mother complaint that few things have been stolen in front of our house such as her aluminum basin and some scrap metal that still can be used. The last case that we ever encounter is about 6 years ago.

This is the sign that thieves are rampant since the fuel hike and this will cause un-easy feeling for all of us.

And yet, the government still want to play, “You fook up my leadership, I will fook up your life by accusing you are butt fooker!”

I just fed up with this kind of attitude. So what the fook about the C4 case?

Malaysia is “fookup” country. I can say that I am ashamed that our leaders like to behave like kids inside the classroom.

The rich are getting richer and the poor will die slowly. Even now, I can get thin without any weight loss program just because I don’t have the budget to even eat my lunch!
