Nevermind the birthday party....

To console our self for never been celebrating our own birthday, we went for a dinner at nearby seafood restaurant. Here in Kota Kinabalu, you can find lots of seafood restaurant nearby Kota Kinabalu city. Fresh and yet, it is quite cheap. We went for this restaurant called Garden Seafood Restaurant. Situated near Tanjung Aru town and city center, this restaurant already receiving a steady customer comprises from international tourist and local diner. So we order our self a sashimi.

300 grams of raw live prawn. Word to describe it…. RAW! But it’s taste nice with soy sauce (imported from Japan) and mince garlic.

Actually we wanted a Salad Prawn using raw prawn instead of fried prawn but the waiter thought that we are ordering a sashimi. And when the sashimi was serve, then I say, “Apa ni? Salad prawn?” (What is this? Salad prawn?) as I never order a sashimi before. Then the waiters face change, maybe thinking that we don’t like it. As he wanted to take away the plate, I said, “No no no…. It’s okay. We can try this”. It turned out a nice dish anyway.

Then deep fried soft shell crab.....

Not enough for me since I haven’t eat my lunch (and I ate 2 more bowl of rice). And also a bowl (big bowl) of Sweet Corn Crab Meat Soup (not in the picture) and a plate of Sayur Manis with garlic (I don't know how to type Sayur Manis in English :P , also not in picture).

Then for dessert...

Coconut pudding inside a coconut... I did ask my wife how they put the pudding inside the coconut without cutting it. Then my wife said they must cut it first before they can make the pudding. I reply "Oh, I thought that they inject the pudding inside the coconut before they put it in freezer". "Ya pandai lah kau tu" (Yeap, what a genius), she replied with some kind of face that reads, why did I get a stupid husband. Hahha…

Happy B'day to me and my wife....

Maybe I'm amazed....

Some might say that I am being sentimental. Not if it's for my faithful and loving best friends, my wife. We've been through lots of ups and downs, tears and sadness. Since yesterday was my birthday, although some disappointment that I get, she still trying to make me happy. Years after years that I have been with her, not a single birthday of ours ever been celebrated by other but our self. Yes, I mean just two of us.

Maybe that is a destiny that we both will never celebrate our birthday with our friends but only will celebrate their birthday. But I'm proud. I'm proud that it is our duty to make others happy. Instead for going to church and praying with hypocrites, maybe we will try to serve God by making other person happy. These are the words that only can describe how much I love her.

Maybe I’m Amazed
Paul McCartney

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pull me out of time
hung me on the line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I'm a man,
Maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something
that he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man
Maybe you're the only woman who can ever help me
baby, won't you help me to understand

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I'll leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I’m amazed…..my dear anne

Borneo Cheroots

A few months ago, while I was in flight to Tawau, I saw this article in Malaysia Airlines magazine about this Borneo Cheroots. The article is about a man who was trying to make Sabahan cheroots. The story is about how he offers a man from Europe a Filipinos cheroots but the man thought it’s from Borneo. I did some research for this story to authentic it and also trying to find some info for this Borneo Cheroots but unfortunately I didn’t saw any in the internet. So I get a box for myself but it is quite expensive though. So let me introduce the Borneo Cheroots.

Rm24.20 for 10 cheroots. It's kind of funny that they use a smoking Orang Utan as their mascot. Smiling, relaxing and smoking Orang Utan.

You can see at the back of the box that they claim is a real Borneo Cheroots.

These Borneo Cheroots are made with the highest quality tobacco
from the foot hills of Mt, Kinabalu and South East Asia's highest mountain.
Cultivated by the Kadazan and Dusun tribes since the 1850 ' s,
the art of making these cheroots have been passed down through the generations

The taste is really like the local tobacco or we Sabahan call it “Sigup” that anyone can purchase at local market here at Sabah (Borneo for some foreigner). The taste is different from any branded cheroots. I almost choke on my first try as I inhale it as a normal cheroots. It has very strong after taste. Sometimes it will leave some sensation on your throat. It's makes me proud because it is made from my homeland, Borneo. Imagine that... Borneo Cheroots....

Steamboat...

Putera Restaurant. Located at Bukit Padang, Luyang. For those who are local in Kota Kinabalu sure know this place. They serve steamboat here. The food are buffet style for only Rm26++ per person with minimum 2 person per table. For those who have good appetite, this is a great place to go.

This is buffet style steamboat. They also serve various food. That means you can eat till you drop.

Actually they have two restaurants that is open air restaurant and air-condition restaurant. Since the open air restaurant have been booked of a wedding on that day, those who come have no other choice than have to go to the air condition restaurant. The air condition restaurant are quite stuffy and steam from the steamboat can make cloth smell food.

Open air restaurant. Anyway, me and my wife end up paying Rm61.60 plus smelly cloths.

Expensive upgrade....... (i think....)

A monster being evolves….. Installed a L5 dashboard (Rm650) and the Apexi Boost meter (Rm380) already…. (and more to come……..)

And my latest gadget (Rm ???)...

Dental appointment 2...

At last, I found my strength to meet the dentist. After a sleepless night, a stressful day, finally I went for the appointment (I have a bad experience with dentist during my childhood). It’s not bad actually. Yes it hurt a little (because a bit of the pulp nerve still lives) but overall it’s not bad. Anyway it only takes about 30 minutes to drill and clean inside the root canal. But until now, I still feel some weird sensation around the jaw where the tooth roots are. Something like a pulse but it can be felt just at night time. Anyway, I still have to go at lest 3 appointment until they can finally put the ‘crown’. Estimated time to complete - next 4 appointment. Cheers…

New leopard species found in Borneo.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The clouded leopard of Borneo — discovered to be an entirely new species — is the latest in a growing list of animals and plants unique to the Southeast Asian country's rainforest and underscores the need to preserve the area, conservationists said Thursday.

The news about the clouded leopard comes just a few weeks after a WWF report showed that scientists had identified at least 52 new species of animals and plants over the past year on Borneo, the world's third largest island that is shared by Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei.

The Heart of Borneo, a mountainous region about five times the size of Switzerland covered with equatorial rainforest in the center of the island, is the last great forest home of the Bornean clouded leopard. Click here for full report.

Hmm... To all minister or datuk-datuk here at Sabah. Please don't be greedy to rape our jungle. Leave the jungle to our children.

Dental Appointment

I'm going to have a series of dental appointment to fix my two front teeth. I'm supposed to fix it 6 years ago but since I still studying and don't have any financial to do it, I have to wait until now. The total cost that has been estimate is a whooping RM 1350.00. My front teeth has been damage when I accidentally fall down while riding my motorbike (not big bike eh?) on 22 May 2000. Surprise? Yup, I still remember it because of that incident I receive my first stitch, that is 12-14 stitches on my upper lips. First I will undergo a Root Canal Treatment. Then make a Dental Crowning for both teeth. Total estimated time to finish (or I called it to grow back my teeth) is about 3-4 weeks. Hope it doesn’t hurt much…

My car broke down...

Yup, my car broke down (that is what I'm thinking) until I realize that it is only because the battery dead. To my embarrassment, the mechanic did come to my house to try to figure out what happen to it and this is what happens. He reverse his car (yes, his car battery is located at the back of his car), connect the jump start wire and ask me to start the car. In first attempt, the car started. Immediately I say, "Astaga, bikin malu saja!" (Oh my, what an embarrassment!). But one thing that I can forget is what he said to me. “Ini bateri macam orang juga. Kalau itu orang mau 'jalan'(mati), dia terus jalan. Macam bateri juga.”(Battery is like human. If the times comes to go(dead), then he will go without warning. Just like battery.) And reminds me Forest Gump, "Life is a box of chocolate...."

And now my car is at his workshop to change a few things. I’ll post it when it’s ready.
This is my mechanic, who turn my car from a timid Kancil to a Kancil monster….

WT*???!!!!

We plan to put a new I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) on it. We even know where to give her a new wheel. And this is what happen to her....

The moral of this story :

1. Please pick up your phone when the owner of the car that you hit called you.

2. Make up your mind where you want to send the car to repair.

3. Please make sure you know a workshop that can make a good repair job (and you know the owner of the workshop)

4. Don't tell the owner of the car that you hit that you cannot meet (or don't have time) them at the workshop that you ask them to send the car.

5. Don't simply tell them that you know everything.

6. Don't get into a wrong lane.

7. Don't f*cked up people time and car.

Kota Kinabalu International Airport expansion is on the way....

Here is some picture that I manage to capture before takeoff during my trip recently. As you can see, they already started the construction of the expansion building.

And also below, they already added some land (am I saying the right sentence?)that would enable more aircraft including bigger ones to land and bring more tourist from international destinations. According to the plan, the runaway would be lengthened from 2.9km to 3.8km.

And here is the new Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 Airport.... Finish in 7 month!!

Words to desribe this new terminal? WOW!!!

How to start your own blog and starting to use Adsense....

When we saw someone else blogs, we often wonder how they can make such a complicated design and how they manage to publish it on the internet. You might want to own your own blogs since you wanted to tell every one maybe your day to day encounter or maybe a few tips depends on what you interested to tell. It may easy for those who know how to make a webpage. To make your own blogs, without any html experience (but at lest you know how to read and use computer including the internet :P) go to www.blogger.com. Here is your first step to make a simple blog. Just register and blog away.... And if you want to earn from the blog that you make you need to add ADSENSE to your blogs. Just click the link at the end of this page that I already put for anyone who need to register and it will take you to ADSENSE website and just register and wait for a couple of days for confirmation (Don't forget to read their terms and condition). I recommend that you register for a Google mail since Google own this ADSENSE (and also this Blogger.Com). But remember that you must build your enough traffic (or we can call that "people that regularly visits your blogs page). You can share your blogs to your friends or family. Or even try to advertise it on any forum that you currently active. As I trying to build my own blogs traffic, currently I'm using Traffic Swarm to advertise my blogs page. And I hope it will work. Cheers....

p/s: Ask me if you encounter any problem and I will try to solve it for you if I have the solution.

I'm back... 2 (continue)

Our treats during our night stay during our trip recently (Thanks to our bos who generously sponsoring us the wine :) ). It is a great bargain actually because Carrefour Midvalley offered any customer who buy 2 bottle of this selected brand of wine, they will get another bottle for free plus a corkscrew (which we need one since we didn't bring any). Yup, this is all we can afford since we cannot enjoy a Kuala Lumpur night life. And the result…..

A very drunk friend! He doesn’t know that he lighting the cigarette from the butt. Hehehe...

Anyway, some of my friend asking me why and how I start a blog since last time i said that blog is a waste of time. I will give some information on how to make a blog in my next post and how you can generate money (yes real money) using adsense. Cheers...

I'm back... 2

An aerial view at my home town (Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu). This is one of the great photos that I take during my trip to Kuala Lumpur as I mention in my last update haha... This picture taken during takeoff (and I'm supposed to remain seated inside the flight hehe…). As you can see right in the middle is the Stella Maris Catholic Church. If front of it is the Stella Maris Primary School, where you can see the big car park and a field surrounded by buildings. Stella Maris Primary School is where I attended during my child hood. It was just 3 minutes walk from my home. Sometimes I really wonder why some people still think that we live on the trees. Maybe they didn’t know that we are modern despite this island name, ‘BORNEO’. (Hey if we live on trees, how can I make blogs here? Hmmm… Imagine… wired trees…)

I'm back...

Recently I went to Kuala Lumpur to attend a company event at Sime Darby Convention Center. The event was to recognize top achiever as my company is a MLM company. Overall the trip was good except the hotel where we staying (Cititel Hotel Midvalley). The room was small and no free internet included in the package. The price to use their internet service was so expensive. RM30 (if I’m not mistaken) just for 2 hours usages. That’s why I didn’t have any chance to update my blog. I’ll will post the picture that I snap and tell you the story about it (as picture said a thousand word eh?) Cheers….

March..... Gonna start doing something different....

Yes, I'm not joking. I'm starting my own blog. Before I reach 24 this year, I need to try doing something that I never done. So hope this blog will be interesting as other blogs. See ya.
